Position: Senior Drilling Engineer Location: (Uk),London Job Type: Contract Reference: DQT-202 Job Description United Kingdom is arguably the fastest developing country in Europe, a fact that is producing an ever increasing amount of opportunities for both expat and Nationals alike. Our client is one is one of the largest oil giants in Uk, as well as the largest offshore oil and gas producer They are looking for an experienced Senior Drilling Engineer to join their team in Uk. The primary function of this position is to provide drilling engineering & Procurement support prior to and during operations of offshore & deep water exploration drilling. Responsibilities: · Assist in delivering of the Well Design, Planning, Procurement, Engineering documentation. · Assist in preparing bid documentation and evaluation of tender. · Assist in preparing HSE documentation especially identification of critical well engineering / operational tasks and providing mitigation procedures. · Compliance with Industry, Country and Company Standards and Policy. · Ensuring relevant technologies are incorporated into the well program · Ensure that the objectives of the well are incorporated into the well program · Ensure that ‘lesson learned’ from previous wells or from similar work scopes are incorporated into the well program · Support well planning efforts by evaluating well target options, predicting well performance for pump selection, providing support for operational drilling decisions, and defining drilling order · Assist in compiling all required data for equipment, material and engineers for local authority approval. · Provide and build an AFE budget for the offshore operation. · Capture all the relevant learning and experience from the Company, Sub sea contractors and third parties are incorporated into the well program. · Ensure a risk assessment is undertaken to qualify / quantify hazards that may occur. · Ensure relevant modern engineering software is incorporated into the production of the documentation especially with respect to casing design, bit hydraulics, directional drilling and bottom hole assemblies. · Assist in contracting drilling contractor, drilling services and third parties · Provide technical and operations leadership and support. Ensure critical tasks are accomplished and assist in providing solutions to operational problems · Provide technical assistance to the Project Management, the drilling superintendent and drilling supervisor · Monitor Conformance with the Well engineering program. · Coordinate all operational activities with drilling contractor, including materials and personnel · Coordinate activities with sub contractors · Ensure well reports are documented and complied as necessary · Monitor performance and costs against plan. Experience & Qualifications required · Possess a Bachelor's Degree or higher, in a technical or engineering subject. Preferably degree in Petroleum Engineering. · Provide relative certification, such as Internationally recognized Well Control Certification. · Possessing knowledge of drilling engineering, oil reservoir engineering. · Master the relative knowledge of offshore drilling, such as the ocean environment law, business procurement, exploration, geology, reservoir, production etc. · More than five years offshore drilling experience. Have proven deepwater drilling experience as a senior drilling engineer or relative position more than four years. · Good computer and practical English ability. · Takes initiative to identify new opportunities and tackle challenging issues. · Have good occupational moral and ability to motivate and develop staff, have a willingness to learn new skills. Package: Highly competitive salary, negotiable based on qualification & experience. Duration : Minimum 12 months + Opportunity for transfer to other projects. Expected commencement : ASAP. Position: Cost Engineer
Description: Position: Cost Engineer Location: (Uk),London Job Type: Contract Reference: DQT-203 Job Description The Senior Cost Engineer will be a member of the project team reporting to the project’s Business Manager. The Senior Cost Engineer will be responsible for the coordination/tracking of project cost including compliance with Company policies and procedures, development and maintenance of cost systems to support contracting strategies and contract administration. The position is responsible for establishing and maintaining interfaces with key stakeholders of the project, and provides accurate and timely reports. Key Job Responsibilities (essential position functions): Continuously monitors business performance and gives advice on status and corrective actions. Develops reporting methods and generates reports on a regular basis. Interacts frequently with the Project Team Leads on tracking Cost performance against budget and schedule. Develops and maintains staffing and manpower plans, contract budgets etc. Develops and maintains budgets. Tracks trends and controls changes to budget and schedule. Prepares project cash flow and expenditure forecasts, and routine cost/schedule reports. Interfaces with Finance group for monthly accruals. Develops interface with cost control systems and Company financial systems. Work collaboratively with the multi-functional teams (facilities, operations, drilling, program management and business) to prepare budgets and plans. Provide support for preparation of Business Plans, Appropriation requests etc. Interface closely with the Finance Group in the Business Unit to provide project related input into budgets and reports.
